Why
Buy Furniture Made From Hardwood?
Twin Rivers, Inc. sells primarily hardwood furniture. Why? American
hardwoods allow skilled craftsmen to create furniture that endures the
test of time while providing a warm and comfortable environment.
Experienced owners and administrators know that products constructed
of hardwood and hardwood plywood are far more durable, impact-resistant
and moisture-resistant than products made of particle board and laminates.
On average, products built using hardwood/plywood will last longer than
all other materials.
- Hardwood/Plywood products will last approximately 15-25 years
- Laminate (Particle Board) products will last approximately 1-5 years
This means that Twin Rivers’ products, even though they may only
be 5-10% higher than our competition, actually cost less over the life
cycle of the product. In the long run, hardwood furniture is a true
bargain – it improves with age, and does not require scheduled
replacement as does particle board furniture.
Hardwood furniture made by Twin Rivers, Inc. has joints assembled with
glue and screws. Screws in particle board pull out and cannot be repaired.
Closet rods and doors in wardrobes constructed of particle board may
fall from the weight of clothing and constant opening and closing, and
cannot be put back in place. Since Twin Rivers, Inc. manufactures wardrobes
from hardwood/plywood, this problem is averted.
Drawers get used every day. It has always been Twin Rivers’ philosophy
to build good, sturdy drawers. Twin Rivers uses primarily hardwood/plywood
in the construction of our drawers. All four corners are dovetailed,
glued and pin nailed. Drawer bottoms are then grooved in all four sides
and finally glued, blocked and stapled. (No other company goes to such
lengths to assure such a high quality drawer system.)
The reputation of Twin Rivers, Inc. is built upon manufacturing quality
products made only from hardwood/plywood. Yes, you can afford to invest
in hardwood furniture. The cost is small considering the advantages.
The next time you are considering an investment in furniture, investigate
the difference and
invest in the best value – hardwood/plywood. |
